INSTRUMENTATION: PRACTICAL PHYSIOLOGY
- PRACTICAL PHYSIOLOGY
Equipment Used in Blood Physiology Laboratory and Their uses
1. Sphygmomanometer
Measures blood pressure (systolic and diastolic).
2. Stethoscope
Used together with a sphygmomanometer to listen to heart sounds, pulse, and breathing.

8. ECG Machine (Electrocardiograph)
Measures electrical activity of the heart and detects heart rhythms.
9. Glucometer
Measures blood glucose level.
10. Stopwatch / Timer
Measures time in physiological experiments (e.g., reaction time, pulse rate per minute).
11. Pulse Oximeter
Measures oxygen saturation (SpO₂) and pulse rate.
12. Calipers (Skinfold Caliper)
Measures body fat percentage through skinfold thickness.
13. Respirometer
