Subject: The Ongoing Transference of Academic Results to the New Portal – A Plea for Patience and Continued Cooperation

Your concerns have indeed been voiced and appreciated by the management as well as staff and students regarding the short term setback of accessing older academic results on the new results portal. This situation has obviously brought worry, particularly among students who are impatient to see their complete academic records.

It is, nonetheless, pertinent to mention that the ongoing migration of at least over ten (10) academic sessions of data—almost five million individual result entries—in the existing portal to the new system.

Given the huge amount of data, it requires painstaking detail of patience and transparency to accurately, completely and integrally keep records.

The management seeks to notify all the members of the University that much has been done since the new portal was introduced. The result of which things that are being done currently and as such for the first time results are being uploaded in good time after a very long time they were viewed on real-time basis just reiterates this administration’s commitment to accountability and efficiency.

Even though the migration is still in process, staff and students are kindly asked to be patient and bear with it. The administration is doing everything possible to speed up the migration process without however compromising data quality or reliability.

The University Management hereby expresses their sincere gratitude to you for your cooperation and dedication to the cause of our institution. With you, we are taking steps towards a more open, efficient, and results-based student-centred educational system in the University of Cross River State.
